Your game stays yours.

Tarsi has no account, no ads and no tracking. To make the game better we count how it’s played, anonymously. This page explains exactly what that means.

Who we are

Tarsi is made by Verónica Gascó Olmos, who is responsible for the data described here. You can reach her at support@verogasco.com.

What stays on your iPhone

Your streak, scores, personal bests, settings and the styles you’ve equipped are stored only on your device. We never receive them. If you delete Tarsi, they are deleted with it.

Anonymous usage statistics

Tarsi sends anonymous statistics about how the game is used, so we can see which parts work and which don’t. For example: that a game was started or finished, in which mode and style, how far the tutorial got, or whether a purchase went through.

Each event also includes the app version, the iOS version, the language the app is shown in and the country you’re playing from.

These statistics never include your name, email, Apple Account, contacts, precise location, advertising identifier or any identifier tied to your device. Each time you open the app it creates a new random code that lives only in memory and is replaced after a while in the background, so one session can’t be linked to the next. We don’t build profiles and we don’t combine this data with anything else.

The statistics are processed by PostHog on servers in the European Union. Like any internet connection, sending them reveals your IP address. PostHog uses it only to work out the country, then discards it: your IP address is never stored, and neither is your city or any more precise location.

Purchases

Styles are bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or billing details. The app only learns which styles you own, so it can unlock them.

Game Center

If you’re signed in to Game Center, your scores in the daily puzzle, Time Attack and Combo are sent to Apple’s Game Center leaderboards, where other players can see them with your Game Center nickname. This is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. You can sign out of Game Center in your iPhone’s Settings.

Reminders

The daily reminder is scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to us to make it work, and you can turn it off in Settings.

Sharing results

When you share a result, Tarsi creates an image and hands it to the iOS share sheet. It only goes where you choose to send it.

No ads, no tracking

Tarsi shows no ads, uses no advertising networks and doesn’t track you across other apps or websites.

Children

Tarsi is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

This website

This site uses no cookies and no analytics. It is hosted by Vercel, which keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the pages and protect against abuse.

Your rights

Because the statistics are anonymous, we can’t find, show or delete the events that came from you: there is nothing that connects them to you. If you have a question or want to exercise any of your rights under data-protection law, write to support@verogasco.com. You can also contact your local data-protection authority.
